ScreenShot

Hacking the Seem
-Open XVI32

-File>Open> locate the  0032_0001 seem that we saved in the previous step
-When you open the file the main screen will have two different sides, the left side is the HEX side and the right side is the TEXT representation of the seem file.
-All of the work on the 0032_0001 seem will be done on the HEX side of the screen
-We need to find Offset 34 to disable the roaming triangle feature. You will know when you have found offset 34 because in the bottom left hand corner of the screen you will see Adr.hex: 34.
Screenshot
-Once you have located and highlighted the offset go to the tools menu and select bit manipulation
-Make sure that bit 3 is unchecked and press the “set” button
Screenshot
-Now that the roaming triangle has been disabled lets fix the ^@ VM Indicator SMS problem.
-We need to find Offset 2 to fix the ^@ VM Indicator SMS problem. You will know when you have found offset 2 because in the bottom left hand corner of the screen you will see Adr.hex: 2.
-Once you have located and highlighted the offset go to the tools menu and select bit manipulation
-Make sure bit 1 is checked and press the “set” button
-Now all we need to do is save the edited seem

Loading the Hacked Seems back to Phone
-Open P2kman
-To upload the modded  seem back to the phone we  need to fill out the “seem” and “rec”  boxes within p2kman, these boxes are located above the upload seems button
-To upload  0032_0001 using p2kman put 0032 in the “seem box” and 0001 in the “rec box”
Screenshot
-If all is well p2kman will display N 0032 record N0001 ok
-Click on the restart phone button
-Soon as P2kman says that the phone is disconnected, remove data cable and the roaming triangle and ^@ VM Indicator SMS problem will now be gone.

Adding Motorola Razr V3i support to Apples’s iSync for Mac users

iSync does not officially support the Motorola V3i yet — however, you can make it work. We’ve not been able to coax Bluetooth into working on  Vodaphone-modified version just yet, but it is certainly possible to get iSync going via USB.

First open /Applications -> iSync.app -> (Control-click and choose Show Package Contents) -> Contents -> Plugins -> ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice -> Contents -> Plugins -> PhoneModelsSync.phoneplugin -> Contents -> Resources -> MetaClasses.plist and find the entry for the RAZR V3. Duplicate this section and modify all instances of V3 to read V3i (except in the icon name).

Now plug your phone into the USB cable, open iSync and select Add Device; you should see the RAZR V3i pop-up. Double-click to add, and you are sorted.

You may receive the message “service cannot be started,” especially if you’ve been playing with Bluetooth prior to testing the USB cable. If you restart the phone, this will go away.

Method for File Transfer on Motorola v276

1. Phonebook/Contacts use Motorola Mobile PhoneTools.
2. For Ringtones:
a. Use audacity to convert mp3 to wav.
16-bit sample format
22050 Hz Rate
mono
b. Use pcvconvter (PureVoice) to convert .wav to .qcp
-I just have a directory with the pcvconv.exe file in it.
-I drop the wav file into the directory and drag it ontop of

pcvconv.exe
-It does its magic and gives you the .qcp.
c. Rename .qcp to .mid
d. Plug in phone to USB cable and power on.
e. Open PST Programmer (no need for suspend sequence)
f. Open P2Ktools2 Beta (others may work too?)
g. In P2K mode, navigate to /a/motorola/shared/audio/
h. Upload .mid file to phone.
i. Close out software and disconnect phone.
j. Turn on phone. Sometimes this requires trying a few times. Don’t Panic.
Worse comes to worse, pop out the battery and you are ok.
k. Navigate to the sounds menu and you should see your file. It should play

correctly.
l. With the sound highlighted, hit the Menu Key and on the Sounds Menu,
Categories. Create New Category, like Ringtones or whatever.
m. Go back and highlight sound, hit the Menu Key and Assign to Category,
choosing the previous named category (ie Ringtones).
n. Once again go back to sound and hit the Menu Key, Apply as Ringtone.

**Note** After you successfully do this, you will notice when you do step (g) there

will be a “Ringtones” subdirectory or whatever you called it. In the future, just

drop the .mid file in there and apply as ringtone.

3. For Pictures:

Good Luck! L8r… McF

This thread assumes you are familiar with modding your phone and you have tinker with it, otherwise you would not be here correcting your mistakes.

In response to some of the frequent ask questions and to minimize the search, I have compiled some Q & A in one thread. There are several ways of modding your phone. Some of them listed are not that easy and requires some know-how. Whether they work or not, I have no control over it. If you have something to contribute, by all means, please add. You are responsible for your own actions and risk.

FAQ about fixing or modding your Moto phone.

I cannot hear the other person during a call even after I have set the ring volume to 7.
Using a usb data cable xvi32, and p2kman, adjust accordingly.

offset 0D earpiece volume (original setting: 01)
offset 19 inner keypad volume (original setting: 01)
offset 31 speakerphone volume (original setting: 01)
offset 49 ringtone/video volume (original setting: 01)
offset 4E system tone volume [original setting: 08]

If you change offset 4E from 08 to 00, the side beeps are gone.
If you change offset 0D from 01 to 02-08, the volume on the earpiece is louder, 08 being the highest. I recommend 04, because, as it’s been said, 08 makes you hear yourself better than the other person.

And last, I changed offset 31 from 01 to 03, but haven’t tested it yet. I imagine you don’t want this very high because it’s pretty loud as is and you might get crazy distortion.

I have media net (WAP service) but I cannot create or edited a web session to access the web.
Taken from xlr8

On certain flexes, the web session profiles under Web Access > Web Sessions are locked and cannot be edited or deleted.
Here’s how to unlock them so you can edit them or delete them.
Using P2Kman, download the file /a/WebSession
Open this file in your XVI32.
You’ll see the information from each profile under Web Access > Web Sessions
To unlock a web session, find the name of the web session in the file on the text side.
Look at the three offsets prior to the first letter on the hex side.
You should see 03 05 00. (You may see 01 05 00.)
Change the middle number to “04″. (You should have 03 04 00 or 01 04 00.)
Reupload the WebSession file to the /a/ directory.
Make sure you change the attribute on the file to “4″
Restart your phone and you can now edit or delete that web session!

I receive a _@^ text whenever I get a voicemail follow by another sms text after I delete the message.
Using a usb data cable xvi32, and p2kman, adjust accordingly.

seem 0032_0001
offset 2, bit 4, 1 (on)
if that don’t work, also change
bit 1, 1 (on)

I am not able to go into my ring style menu. It always kicks me back to the main menu screen.
Try this quick fix:

Using p2kman, delete mytone.db & temptone .db follow by a master reset on phone.
Default security code= 000000

If that don’t work, read on.

****FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH RINGSTYLE MENU***

1. Open PST Phone Programmer (either 6.7 or 6.9) not Multiflexflash.
2. Go to new, then select Feature file.
3. Push the button Read Phone at the top.
4. It will then connect to your phone and read the features and will display a new window with the current features
5.In the new window scroll down, you will see Ring Styles and each menu item will have a box associated with it.
6. In each box select 0 (zero) which is silent for all options and reminders should be set to off.
7. Push the Write to Phone at the top and then restart phone

I have a usb data cable and I want to transfer files between phone and PC, where can I find the free driver?
Drivers alone will not do you any good. But, if you don’t believe me knock yourself out.
Download the common used PK2 DRIVER to try.
You need software call Mobile Phone tools, p2kman, and the like to transfer files. If you happen to find these software, the same driver is included in its folder.

My phone displays a “enter subsidy code” message but the phone is not locked. What can I do?
Open up P2K Manager and search for file “secure_pds_init.”
Delete it.
Go to Settings -> Personalize -> Greeting & delete the “Flex Error: Phone Subsidy-Locked” message.
Finally restart the phone.

I have successfully uploaded some ringers to phone using p2kman, but it is not listed in phone menu. What to do next?
P2kman is tricky to use sometimes. The quick fix is to delete mytone.db & temptone.db files using p2kman. Then, perform a master reset on phone. (Default security code: 000000)
