Its always been a popular problem among moto users who flash their phones or buy imported models,I think this article will be able to solve the problem.

Download the 0032_0001 Seem
-Open p2kman
-Above the Download seems button in the FROM box type 0032 & in the TO box also type 0032.
-Click download and save the file to a location but do NOT rename it, just leave as xxxx_yyyy
ScreenShot

Hacking the Seem
-Open XVI32

-File>Open> locate the 0032_0001 seem that we saved in the previous step
-When you open the file the main screen will have two different sides, the left side is the HEX side and the right side is the TEXT representation of the seem file.
-All of the work on the 0032_0001 seem will be done on the HEX side of the screen
-We need to find Offset 34 to disable the roaming triangle feature. You will know when you have found offset 34 because in the bottom left hand corner of the screen you will see Adr.hex: 34.
Screenshot
-Once you have located and highlighted the offset go to the tools menu and select bit manipulation
-Make sure that bit 3 is unchecked and press the “set” button
Screenshot
-Now that the roaming triangle has been disabled lets fix the ^@ VM Indicator SMS problem.
-We need to find Offset 2 to fix the ^@ VM Indicator SMS problem. You will know when you have found offset 2 because in the bottom left hand corner of the screen you will see Adr.hex: 2.
-Once you have located and highlighted the offset go to the tools menu and select bit manipulation
-Make sure bit 1 is checked and press the “set” button
-Now all we need to do is save the edited seem
-File>save as> save the file to a different location then the original just incase you made a mistake you still have your backup, save the file as 0032_0001

Loading the Hacked Seems back to Phone
-Open P2kman
-To upload the modded seem back to the phone we need to fill out the “seem” and “rec” boxes within p2kman, these boxes are located above the upload seems button
-To upload 0032_0001 using p2kman put 0032 in the “seem box” and 0001 in the “rec box”
Screenshot
-If all is well p2kman will display N 0032 record N0001 ok
-Click on the restart phone button
-Soon as P2kman says that the phone is disconnected, remove data cable and the roaming triangle and ^@ VM Indicator SMS problem will now be gone.

If you change offset 0D from 01 to 02-08, the volume on the earpiece is louder, 08 being the highest. I recommend 04, because, as it’s been said, 08 makes you hear yourself better than the other person.

And last, I changed offset 31 from 01 to 03, but haven’t tested it yet. I imagine you don’t want this very high because it’s pretty loud as is and you might get crazy distortion.

I have media net (WAP service) but I cannot create or edited a web session to access the web.
Taken from xlr8

On certain flexes, the web session profiles under Web Access > Web Sessions are locked and cannot be edited or deleted.
Here’s how to unlock them so you can edit them or delete them.
Using P2Kman, download the file /a/WebSession
Open this file in your XVI32.
You’ll see the information from each profile under Web Access > Web Sessions
To unlock a web session, find the name of the web session in the file on the text side.
Look at the three offsets prior to the first letter on the hex side.
You should see 03 05 00. (You may see 01 05 00.)
Change the middle number to “04″. (You should have 03 04 00 or 01 04 00.)
Reupload the WebSession file to the /a/ directory.
Make sure you change the attribute on the file to “4″
Restart your phone and you can now edit or delete that web session!

I receive a _@^ text whenever I get a voicemail follow by another sms text after I delete the message.
Using a usb data cable xvi32, and p2kman, adjust accordingly.

seem 0032_0001
offset 2, bit 4, 1 (on)
if that don’t work, also change
bit 1, 1 (on)

I am not able to go into my ring style menu. It always kicks me back to the main menu screen.
Try this quick fix:

Using p2kman, delete mytone.db & temptone .db follow by a master reset on phone.
Default security code= 000000

If that don’t work, read on.

****FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH RINGSTYLE MENU***

1. Open PST Phone Programmer (either 6.7 or 6.9) not Multiflexflash.
2. Go to new, then select Feature file.
3. Push the button Read Phone at the top.
4. It will then connect to your phone and read the features and will display a new window with the current features
5.In the new window scroll down, you will see Ring Styles and each menu item will have a box associated with it.
6. In each box select 0 (zero) which is silent for all options and reminders should be set to off.
7. Push the Write to Phone at the top and then restart phone

I have a usb data cable and I want to transfer files between phone and PC, where can I find the free driver?
Drivers alone will not do you any good. But, if you don’t believe me knock yourself out.
Download the common used PK2 DRIVER to try.
You need software call Mobile Phone tools, p2kman, and the like to transfer files. If you happen to find these software, the same driver is included in its folder.

My phone displays a “enter subsidy code” message but the phone is not locked. What can I do?
Open up P2K Manager and search for file “secure_pds_init.”
Delete it.
Go to Settings -> Personalize -> Greeting & delete the “Flex Error: Phone Subsidy-Locked” message.
Finally restart the phone.

I have successfully uploaded some ringers to phone using p2kman, but it is not listed in phone menu. What to do next?
P2kman is tricky to use sometimes. The quick fix is to delete mytone.db & temptone.db files using p2kman. Then, perform a master reset on phone. (Default security code: 000000)

Note: BEFORE YOU DELETE OR CHANGE ANYTHING, ALWAYS MAKE A BACKUP COPY OF IT FIRST…..even if you intend never to upload it back to your phone again.

REQUIREMENTS

USB cable.

P2Kman

MPT (only required for the ‘0 Byte’ Method of deleting media)

PST (only required if you find yourself being locked out of your ring style detail page)

OVERVIEW

It is usual to delete these using p2kman, although there is a way to delete all but ringtones by sending a ‘0 Byte’ file with exactly the same name and extension to MPT (please note that name and extension are case sensitive) . Deleting ringtones is slightly more involved – problems may occur when only the ringtone(or vibe tone) is deleted – users have reported not being able to access the Ring Style Detail menu as a result. The reason why this happens is that, 2 files(databases) called MyToneDB.db and TempToneDB.db, hold information about which ringtones are present on the phone and what(if anything) they are assigned to(eg calls, sms alert, answerphone, etc), etc. If inconsistancies(such as answerphone having a particular .mp3 assigned to it, yet because the .mp3 isn’t in the system, answerphone is actually pointing to a null value) occur in the database, problems accessing the RingStyle Detail menu can occur. If this has happened to you, then see the heading entitled ‘If you locked yourself out of your ringer details page’.

Ringtones are found in: /a/mobile/audio
Screensavers are found in: /a/mobile/picture
Wallpaper are found in: /a/mobile/picture
Video are found in: /a/mobile/video

If you deleted files that you shouldn’t do and forgot to make a backup
If you went on a deleting spree without making any backups, you should be sentenced to 10 years hard labour for your extreme stupidity.

I) DELETING LOCKED RINGTONES

Deleting ringtones is slightly more involved so i’m going to deal with this first. It appears that the following ringtones are used by the phone for system purposes: Continental, Siren, Classic, Attention – Do not delete these……just to be on the safe side. Also, the .bas files are used by the motomixer, so i don’t recommend deleting these either. There are 2 methods that you can use.

METHOD 1
Stage 1: IMPORTANT!
1) Go to Alarm Clock, PhoneBook, and Ring Styles, and switch ALL your ringtones and caller ID’s to Silent.

2) Switch your ring style profile to Silent

Stage 2:
3) In p2kman, while keeping the CTRL key pressed down, click on the ringtones that you want to delete. Then right click on one of them, and select Delete.

Stage 3:
4) Delete the files:
/a/mobile/audio/MyToneDB.db
/a/mobile/audio/TempToneDB.db

Stage 4:
5) Powercycle your phone(ie switch it off then on again). The TempToneDB and MyToneDB databases will then be built up again when you switch your phone back on.

Stage 5:
6) You can now change your ringtones and ring style profile back to what they were.

METHOD 2
Stage 1:
1) In p2kman, there should be a main window with 4 columns:
File.
Attributes. (On the old version of p2kman, the column is called Flags).
Size.
Type.
Have a look at the last digit of each of the ringtone’s Attributes. The significance of the attribute is explained here:

0 = No attribute

1 = Read only file (has a lock symbol in phone menu’s – can’t be deleted)

2 = Hidden file (hidden in phone menus)

3 = (Read only + Hidden) file

4 = System file (will not be deleted on master clear).

5 = (System + Read only) file

6 = (System + Hidden) file

7 = (System + Read only + Hidden) file

You will notice that the stock ringtones all end in 4. That implies that they are locked and cannot be deleted from the phone’s menu. If you have added your own ringtones, you will notice that they have 0 as the last digit.
What you can do is to set the last digit of each ringtone’s(do not do this for Continental, Siren, Classic, Attention) attribute to 0. This means that you can delete them normally from the phones menu. To do this:

1i) Type 0 in the Attribute box.

2ii) Highlight the ringtone by clicking on it.

3iii) Click the Change button.

3iv) Scroll through the list of files and check to see if the attribute of the ringtone has indeed been changed successfully.
Repeat 1i through to 1iv for each of the ringtones that can be safely deleted.

Stage 2:
2) Powercycle(switch off then on again) your phone.

Stage 3:
Note: BEFORE you delete a particular ringtones, ensure that it is NOT assigned.
3) In your phone’s menu, go to Main Menu -> Multimedia -> Audio, and delete each of the ringtones as you would a non-locked ringtone.

If you locked yourself out of your RingStyle details page or phonebook

METHOD 1
1) Open PST Phone Programmer (version 6.7 or higher) not Multiflexflash.

2) Go to New, then select Feature file.

3) Push the button Read Phone at the top.

4) Scroll down, you will see Ring Styles and they will have boxes.

5) Select 0 (zero) which is silent for all options (this doesn’t need to be done for the vibrate only section) and reminders should be set to Off.

6) Push the Write to Phone at the top and then restart phone.
(method credited to bzpilot)

METHOD 2
1) If you are locked out of any of the vibe detail profiles, then you may have deleted all your vibe tones. Upload at least 1 of the vibe tones back to your phone. Backups are available from here if need be. If you are locked out of anywhere else, then just follow Step 2 onwards.
2) Using p2kman, delete the files:
/a/mobile/audio/MyToneDB.db
/a/mobile/audio/TempToneDB.db

3) Powercycle your phone(ie switch it off then on again). The TempToneDB and MyToneDB databases will then be built up again when you switch your phone back on.

4) You should now be able to access your Alarm Clock , PhoneBook, and Ring Style Detail menu in order to set your ringtones and caller ID’s.

II) DELETING LOCKED WALLPAPERS, SCREENSAVERS, AND VIDEOS METHOD 1
This is just a case of deleting the actual wallpaper/screensaver/video using p2kman.

METHOD 2 – the ‘0 Byte’ Method
This method uses MPT instead of p2kman.
1) On your PC, create a ‘0 Byte’ file with exactly the same name and extension. Note that it is case sensitive.

2) Click on the Multimedia Studio on the right hand side of MPT. After it has loaded up, the left hand side shows you a Windows Explorer, while the right hand side shows you the Audio, Pictures, Video folders that correspond to those on your phone. This is the root directory.

3) Send that 0 byte file to your root directory on your phone.

Tools you need:
Data Cable (usb)
P2kman
Some sort of photo editor (ex: Adobe Photoshop, Corel, etc.)

Guide:

1.Find image you want to put on the phone (can be a picture or image you made) the image size must be 96×80 pixels.

2. Save the image as cl.gif (must be exact and a gif file).

3. Open P2kman and make sure phone is connected. Find the old cl.gif file and delete it then simply upload the new one to the same folder.
And yes, you will need to manually restart phone by holding down off button then start up again and it should work.
