It was recently announced that iPhone is being launched in India around September 2006 by Vodafone, almost a year after it was first introduced in US.

Vodafone to launch iPhone in India for about 28k

After several months of speculation, reports are in that Vodafone is going to launch Apple iPhone mobile handsets in India by September 2008. The expected price of the 8 GB model is Rs.28,000.
Although no official details are out yet, the handsets are expected to be carrier locked (you can only use them with Vodafone). It remains unclear whether the iPhone models will be available with all Vodafone plans or some specific/special iPhone plans.

iPhone 1.1.3 officially released (and Google shows some more iPhone love)

At MacWorld 2008, Apple CEO Steve Jobs released iPhone firmware 1.1.3 minutes back. This comes as no surprise to most of iPhone owners as rumors and screenshots of the new firmware have been doing rounds on the internet since past few weeks.
