Samsung T809 - How to use your own MP3s as ringtones

Though this is a short trick,I’ve written a new topic due to user request. Thanks for all your responses, from now on I’ll try to reply to you guys not by individual mail but with an open topic or comment.:-)

1. Rename your mp3 from .mp3 to .3gp (the video format the T809 supports)
2. Copy it to your t-flash card
3. Find the file and set as RINGER.

There is also another wayis as mentioned below:

1. Put the mp3 song on your phone
2. Go to incoming call settings
3. Select ringtone to see all available
4. Find song you want as ringtone (do nothing yet)
5. Highlight the selected song
6. Click middle select button to mark song (nothing will happen)
7. Press back button
8. Press save.
9. Go back and check your incoming call and it should be whichever song you highlighted.

Have FUN!!!

I think in your selected profile ringing tone is selected to ring and not off.

I also changed ringtone by 2nd method, and had same issue. Not sure how/where to update profile for “ringing tone is selected to ring and not off”.

Thanks for the ring tone tip - very helpful. I also found a great feed reader for my Samsung A920 — check out FeedLion.com for info or point your mobile browser to feedlion.com/d It’s free, and is a really cool app. I love this blog and now I can get it on my cell phone using FeedLion!
