Samsung D500 unlock code and few other tips
Type this in on the standby screen to unlock your D500:

It worked on Orange handset, but it removed all WAP settings & bookmarks. For some reason everything else, including MMS settings, contacts and images remained.You need to re-enter the Orange settings here they are:
Profile Settings:
Profile Name: Orange GPRS WAP
Home URL: http://wap.orange.co.uk
Bearer: GPRS Only
Proxy: Enable

GPRS Settings:
IP Address: 192.168.71.35
Port: 8080
APN: orangewap
Login ID: Empty
Password: Empty
Just a few things I noticed:
People complaining about T9 turning on and off - Someone suggested pressing the * key to make T9 stay on… its a software bug, no combination of key presses will fix it. It appeas that there is one software revision without the problem; lets hope there is a flash solution for the phone soon…
Orange Customisation - It’s not that bad, the only function lost is the ability to add shortcuts to the navi-key from the standby screen. You still retain access to messaging, schedule, wap, contacts and call data from the main screen; more than is possible on a sim free D500. If you don’t like it (i’d personally rather have non-branded software) wait for a flash solution.
Installing Java games - You need to download them via wap using both the Jad and jar files. Sending via IrDa or bluetooth won’t work
Syncing with iSync in mac OSx - Its not a supported handset, so it won’t work regardless of what people on here say/think. iCal doesn’t use vCal files either so you can’t export from there to the phone as someone said. Either use Entourage, Outlook Classic a 3rd party plug-in for iCal or wait for the next iSync revision.
Sending images via BT/iRda - For some reason images resized in Photoshop CS don’t show up on my D500. I’d imagine that if anyone is having similar problems its to do with the JPEG recompression when you save the new image. Try using another app.
Poor images from the camera - Make sure you are using super fine mode (SF) have the resolution set to one of the top two settings, and press key number “6″ for noise reduction. The pictures i’ve taken with the settings above put my S700i to shame.

Sorry for the late delays friend.A phone is in standby mode when it is ON but not in use or u r not talking with it.D500 shows a digital clock when itz in stand by mood.Hope it’ll solve ur problem.

it will be completely unlocked and free to use any network
